PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Belanger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dong Ming Pak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pak slips under a jab.

Pak shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Belanger's guard.

Belanger has his foot on Pak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pak works his way back into a safe position though.

Belanger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pak defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belanger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pak is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Belanger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's time! Belanger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dong Ming Pak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pak misses with an uppercut. Belanger saw that one coming.
Belanger lands with a nice body punch.
Belanger uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pak.

Pak fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Belanger on the side of the head.

Pak lands a jab-cross combination.
Pak jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Belanger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Belanger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pak knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Belanger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Belanger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pak swivels though and keeps the full guard.
