Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hanzo Hasashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Turtle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanzo Hasashi had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hanzo Hasashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tom Turtle!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turtle tries to clinch but Hasashi is having none of it.
Turtle looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hasashi lands a big head kick that sends Turtle tumbling to the mat! Hasashi takes a step backwards and waves Turtle back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Tom Turtle has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hasashi throws a head kick that misses.
Hasashi throws a head kick but Turtle moves out of range.
Hasashi tries a head kick but it misses.
Turtle shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hasashi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hasashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turtle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turtle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hasashi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hasashi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Turtle keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hasashi's head.

Hasashi working for a triangle but Turtle defends it easily.
Hasashi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Turtle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hasashi keeping moving, preventing Turtle from controlling successfully.

Hasashi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Turtle defends well.
Hasashi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Turtle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hasashi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Turtle is working Hasashi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hasashi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Turtle stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hasashi to get to his feet.
Hasashi throws a head kick but Turtle moves out of range.
Hasashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hasashi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Turtle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Turtle closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hasashi's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turtle with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hasashi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Turtle defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hanzo Hasashi dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tom Turtle's cut.

A head kick misses from Hasashi.
Hasashi throws a head kick that half lands.
Hasashi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hasashi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hasashi closes the distance and clinches up with Turtle, looking for a takedown. Hasashi pushes Turtle against the ropes but Turtle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Turtle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Turtle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Turtle wants to get up but he can't break Hasashi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hasashi is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Turtle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hasashi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Turtle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hasashi but Hasashi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hanzo Hasashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hasashi plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Hasashi lands a head kick. Turtle smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Turtle is rocked!
Hasashi keeps the fight on the outside.
Turtle is still on wobbly legs! Can Hasashi finish him?
Turtle blocks a head kick by Hasashi.
Turtle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hasashi misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hasashi is trying to maintain the position but Turtle is very close to passing his half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are battling for position here. Hasashi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Turtle seems to have recovered his senses.
Hasashi keeping moving, preventing Turtle from controlling successfully.
Turtle looking to sit in guard and control but Hasashi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hasashi stands up from guard. Let's bang!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tom Turtle wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hasashi tries a head kick but it misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turtle throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hasashi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Turtle is in Hasashi's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turtle is sitting in close to Hasashi's body. Hasashi has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Turtle is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Turtle is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hasashi.
