Shields moves into the clinch.

Novak wants to control from the top but Shields keeps moving.

Shields tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shields manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Novak is in all sorts of trouble here.
Shields lands a big shot there that rocks Novak but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Shields wants to take a breather but Novak is having none of it.
Novak wants to control but Shields is keeping busy.

Shields takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Novak is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Shields dives into side control.
