The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassad avoids a kick to the body.
Belcher is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hassad sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Belcher ducks under a wild hook from Hassad.
Belcher throws a nice looking combination but Hassad bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hassad closes the distance looking to clinch
and Belcher counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hassad jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Belcher walks away with a smile on his face. Hassad gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hassad drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Belcher dives on top into guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Belcher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Belcher.
