The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chekhemani shoots for a double leg takedown but Nunes sprawls well. He's pushed Chekhemani's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nunes slips a jab and a cross from Chekhemani.
Nunes throws a head kick that Chekhemani semi-blocks.
Chekhemani uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nunes.
Chekhemani throws a body kick that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Nunes thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Chekhemani if he has to take too many more of those.
Nunes turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Chekhemani misses with a hook.
Chekhemani avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nunes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nunes throws a solid leg kick but Chekhemani takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nunes.

Nunes lands a leg kick that knocks Chekhemani off balance momentarily.
Nunes cracks Chekhemani with an open hand slap.

Chekhemani lands a really nice looking cross but Nunes seems unphased.
Nunes looks to land a body kick but Chekhemani moved away.

Nunes lands with a shot to the body.
Nunes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Evangelista Nunes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nunes feints and then cracks Chekhemani's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chekhemani down.
Nunes tries to bum rush Chekhemani with a series of wild strikes but Chekhemani uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chekhemani misses with a combination
and Nunes counters with an outside leg kick.
Chekhemani lands a left and a right that sends Nunes crashing to the canvas! Chekhemani dives into mount looking to finish!
Nunes is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chekhemani postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Nunes bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Chekhemani and the fight is over!
