Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Valesquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valesquez's entrance music is "Ratamahatta" by Sepultura. A fine choice. Hill has chosen Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabricio Valesquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bret Hill!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valesquez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Valesquez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hill wants to sweep here but Valesquez controlling him for the moment.

Valesquez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Valesquez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valesquez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hill has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Valesquez has managed to get both his arms back between Hill's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Valesquez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Valesquez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round but I would say that Fabricio Valesquez will probably get the nod.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fabricio Valesquez will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fabricio Valesquez.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Valesquez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
