Alighieri comes into the arena with Mosquito Song by Queens Of The Stone Age blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Berry Fulcher!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alighieri looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Alighieri cracks Fulcher with an uppercut from hell and Fulcher crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Alighieri's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

It looks like Berry Fulcher has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Fulcher keeping moving, preventing Alighieri from controlling successfully.
Alighieri is looking to work some ground and pound but Fulcher has wrist control.

Alighieri is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fulcher is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fulcher has escaped and now he's on top!
Fulcher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alighieri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Berry Fulcher hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Fulcher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alighieri paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Alighieri just misses with a punch to the body.

Alighieri waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Fulcher. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Fulcher to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Fulcher is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alighieri postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Fulcher's head off the mat! Fulcher is out! He's out! Alighieri jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
