PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earth Quake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Lisser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quake comes to the cage accompanied by PRODIGY - RUN WITH THE WOLVES . Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earth Quake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Lisser!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lisser fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lisser throws a hook but Quake blocks it.
Good standup being displayed there by Lisser as he connects with a hook.
Lisser takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Quake connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lisser momentarily.
Matt Lisser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lisser with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Quake to score with a decent uppercut.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Quake wants to control but Lisser is keeping busy.

Lisser looks to land a strike but Quake avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Quake manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lisser manages to get himself to full guard.

Quake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lisser swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lisser is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Quake won't allow Lisser to sweep him here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Quake stays in close to Lisser's body and controls the position.
Quake in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Earth Quake will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Matt Lisser's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Earth Quake has been cut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lisser creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Quake's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Earth Quake.
