Duke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Keep it going louder!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harrison Duke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deshawn Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace throws a hook but Duke blocks it.

Wallace feints and as Duke raises his hands in defense, Wallace changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wallace landing some decent shots from guard.

Duke looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Duke preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Duke is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wallace defends well.
Wallace slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Duke tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wallace wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Wallace looks up at the clock and then as Duke takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wallace smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duke manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wallace's best efforts.
Wallace passes to full mount!
Wallace lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Duke is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace looking to finish Duke with some ground and pound. This is bad for Duke!
Wallace scoring with strikes but Duke is staying in there.
Wallace lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Duke is looking to improve his position but Wallace isn't that keen on the idea.
Wallace takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Duke takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Wallace looking to control but Duke is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wallace has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Duke's face.
Wallace connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Duke tries to hold on but Wallace pushes him away.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Wallace trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Wallace raining down hammerfists from mount.
Duke is looking to get to half guard.
Wallace lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Duke that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Duke is rocked!
Wallace lands a big shot to the head and Duke winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Deshawn Wallace!
Deshawn Wallace decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
