PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Knockout King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Never Beyond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beyond comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Do you remember kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Beyond sprawling to the canvas. King follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Beyond hang on?

It looks like Never Beyond has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King wants to get back to his feet.

Beyond has one foot on King's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

King gets tackled into the cage by Beyond. Beyond maintains the clinch.
King is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
King has Beyond pressed against the cage, preventing Beyond from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Beyond is trying to push King away but King has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
King has had enough of the clinch but Beyond keeps him there for the moment.

A frustrated look appears on King's face as he tries to break the clinch.

King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Beyond manages to break the clinch.
A combination from King does no damage.

King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beyond pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Beyond throws a big shot that misses.
Beyond fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. King looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
King is breathing heavily.
Beyond throws the left hand but King avoids the punch easily.
King misses with a series of wild punches.
King steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Beyond.
King throws a series of punches but Beyond avoids them all with ease.
Beyond lands a nice shot that snaps King's head back.
King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Beyond drops his shoulder and cracks King with a huge uppercut! King goes down! Can Beyond finish him?

King is rocked!

It looks like Knockout King has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beyond stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
King is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Beyond doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! King crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in King's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Never Beyond!
Never Beyond was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
