The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldberg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nicko swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Goldberg lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Goldberg.
Goldberg looks for the body kick but Nicko saw that one coming.
Goldberg wants to clinch.
Nicko fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Goldberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Nicko. Nicko gets slowly back to his feet.
Goldberg wants to clinch up but Nicko keeps it at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goldberg doesn't manage to clinch there - Nicko circles away.

Nicko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Nicko stands and throws Goldberg's legs to the side, diving into side control.

You get the feeling that Goldberg really doesn't like being in this position too much.
