The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.
Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Case swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Case blocks a head kick by Smith.
Case lands with an uppercut that bounces Smith off the cage and back into range.
Case just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith scoring well with a low kick there.
Case connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Case moves out of range easily.

Case moves into the clinch.
Case taking a breather.
Case drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Case lands a hook to the side of the head.
Case works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Case ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Case no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Case wants to stand but Smith is controlling the position.
Case keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
Case wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith lands a big right hook! Case looks hurt but is still standing! Smith lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Case falls down and Smith dives in with a huge hammer fist! Case's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Smith runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
