Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Hissink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers comes to the cage accompanied by American Badass by Kid Rock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Hissink!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers moves away from the strike by Hissink.
Hissink misses with a combination
and Hissink takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rogers throws a push kick but Hissink slaps the foot to one side.

Rogers clinches with his opponent.
Rogers is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hissink is defending well.
Rogers is struggling to control the position.

Rogers gets control of Hissink's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rogers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hissink decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rogers, up you get!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hissink tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rogers was well out of range. Poor timing from Hissink.

Rogers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hissink knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hissink throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rogers.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rogers lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hissink has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hissink and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hissink on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hissink's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Rogers connects with a body shot that sends Hissink's belly button to the back.
Hissink takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Rogers is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hissink has managed to free his arm - good work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hissink wants to stand back up but Rogers manages to pass into side control.
Hissink is not content to let Rogers control the position.

A lull in the action here as Rogers stalls from top position.
Rogers cracks Hissink with a big elbow.

Rogers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rogers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rogers wants to control but Hissink is keeping him busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Rogers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hissink is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Hissink cracks Rogers with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
No joy there for Rogers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Steve Rogers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Walter Hissink has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
