Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Scissors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scissors has chosen Paper Cut - Linkin Park as his entrance music. Jack Burton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Scissors!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scissors swinging wildly here.
Burton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Burton there as he acknowledges the shot.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Burton enables Scissors to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Burton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Burton gets tackled into the cage by Scissors. Scissors maintains the clinch.
Scissors manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Burton has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Scissors clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Scissors postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Scissors, into his guard.

Scissors stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Burton throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Scissors escapes and throws Burton's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Burton tries to improve position but can't.
Burton is working to avoid the ground and pound but Scissors connects with a decent elbow.
Burton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jack Burton dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Burton shoots in and drives through. Scissors sprawls well.
Scissors drops his hands momentarily and Burton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
No joy there for Scissors, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Burton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Scissors pinned against the cage. Scissors gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Burton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Scissors shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burton defends it nicely.

Burton feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Scissorss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Burton throws a left that rocks Scissors and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Burton dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Scissors regain composure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burton is looking to take a break and control but Scissors is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Scissors is still in real trouble! Can Burton finish him?
Scissors gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Scissors manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Scissors seems to have recovered his senses.
A combination from Burton does no damage.
A thudding body kick lands there by Scissors!
Scissors's corner calls for a 1-2. Scissors obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Burton is looking to control Scissors's arms but Scissors gets an underhook and turns him. Now Burton has his back to the cage.

Burton lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Scissors or not.

Burton unloads a knee to the mid-section. Scissors lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Burton lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Scissors backwards.
Burton is trying to pull guard but Scissors turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Burton cracks Scissors with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Scissors decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Scissors is looking for a kimura but Burton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Scissors to get the leverage.

Burton has his foot on Scissors's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scissors works his way back into a safe position though.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Burton here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Burton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Scissors doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Burton.
Burton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Kyle Scissors has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Scissors has his feet on Burton's thighs here. He's pushed Burton off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Burton screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
