Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chester Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Pushkar counters with a takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sanchez can't do much from the bottom here.
Sanchez is trying to improve his position.
Sanchez regains half guard.

Sanchez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pushkar pulls his head out easily.
Sanchez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sanchez.
Pushkar wants to stand but Sanchez is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pushkar wants to stand and escape but instead Sanchez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Pushkar keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanchez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sanchez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Sanchez looking to sit in guard and control but Pushkar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pushkar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sanchez is defending well for now.
The referee calls for Pushkar to work.

Sanchez is looking to control Pushkar's arms but Pushkar gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sanchez has his back to the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

That was a close round but I would say that Benedikt Pushkar will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Chester Sanchez's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Pushkar doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.
Pushkar tries to clinch up but Sanchez circles away and keeps his distance.
Sanchez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Pushkar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the cage.
Pushkar pushes Sanchez back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.

A left hand lands to the body for Pushkar.
Nice body punch from Pushkar - that landed with a thud.

Pushkar breaks the clinch.
Benedikt Pushkar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pushkar throws a leg kick but Sanchez moved away.
Pushkar explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sanchez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pushkar moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Pushkar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sanchez on his heels. He'll look to pass Sanchez's guard now, I'm sure.

Benedikt Pushkar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pushkar is really struggling to control Sanchez but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Sanchez is looking for a triangle but Pushkar pushes his legs off easily.
Sanchez has momentary wrist control but Pushkar slips an elbow through the middle.

Pushkar gets to his feet. Sanchez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Pushkar rushes Sanchez and presses him up against the cage.

Pushkar lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sanchez backwards.

Come on Pushkar - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Pushkar digs a right hand underneath Sanchez's ribcage. Sanchez let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pushkar lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sanchez backwards.
Pushkar scores with a nice hook to the head.
Pushkar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sanchez can do to turn this around?
Pushkar misses with a hook to the ribs.

Pushkar makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Pushkar stalls.
Pushkar lands a nice shot to the body.
Pushkar scores with a nice hook to the head.
Sanchez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Pushkar.
Pushkar lands a left hand.
Pushkar presses Sanchez against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pushkar tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sanchez avoids it.
Pushkar jerks Sanchez to the side and lands a massive knee to the head that knocks him out cold! Sanchez's lifeless body is proped up only by the cage. Pushkar steps back, hand raised, as the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Benedikt Pushkar!
