Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eugene Albright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Bourque!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Albright or perhaps it was just good defense by Bourque which made him look bad.
Bourque swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bourque scores with a jab. Albright acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Albright shoots in looking for a takedown but Bourque manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Albright's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Albright shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bourque sprawls well. Bourque wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Albright gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eugene Albright. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bourque is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bourque tries to bum rush Albright with a series of wild strikes but Albright uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bourque fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bourque has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Albright shoots in looking for a takedown but Bourque manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Albright's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Albright shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bourque pinned against the cage. Bourque gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bourque connects with a good right hand that stumbles Albright. Albright circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Eugene Albright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bourque throws out a loose jab but Albright uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bourque lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Paul Bourque is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bourque lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Albright on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Bourque misses with a few strikes there.
Nice defenses there by Albright.
Bourque ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Albright.
Albright doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Albright looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bourque keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Albright shoots in and drives through. Bourque sprawls well.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Albright. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Albright has managed to clinch.
Bourque working hard to break the clinch.
Albright jumps guard but Bourque turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Albright has Bourque pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bourque manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bourque is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Bourque escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bourque dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Albright shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bourque tries to roll over but Albright keeps him under control.

Albright is keen to just control but Bourque is a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eugene Albright.
Bourque stuffs the takedown.
Albright shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Bourque dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bourque catches Albright with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Albright tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bourque sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Albright somewhat.

Bourque cracks Albright with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bourque swings for the body but Albright moves out of range.

Bourque connects with a crisp jab.
Bourque lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Albright circles away quickly and effectively.
Albright shoots for a takedown but Bourque saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bourque tests Albright's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bourque swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A jab from Bourque does it's job there.


Albright is rocked!
Bourque throws a monster overhand right that drops Albright! Bourque follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
