Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valravn Solefald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solefald is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Valravn - Koder På Snor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solefald keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ross shoots for a takedown but Solefald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ross closes the distance and clinches up with Solefald, looking for a takedown. Ross pushes Solefald against the cage but Solefald circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Solefald stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Solefald wants it to stay on the feet.
Solefald shoots for a double leg takedown but Ross sprawls well. He's pushed Solefald's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ross shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Solefald sprawls well. Solefald wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ross gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Solefald or perhaps it was just good defense by Ross which made him look bad.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Valravn Solefald hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Solefald gets caught napping as Ross dives in and scores a takedown. Solefald manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Solefald bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ross's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Solefald seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ross wants to get back to his feet but Solefald is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
