The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zen ducks under a wild hook from Lidd.
Lidd tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Zen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zen is pushing down on Lidd's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lidd is fighting to maintain full guard but Zen has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lidd is in trouble now - Zen has advanced to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
