Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chico Corrales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rice Boyd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd tries to score with a low kick but Corrales moves his leg out of the way.
Boyd throws a right and a left that Corrales avoids nicely.
Corrales misses with a few strikes there.
Boyd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Corrales.
Boyd closes the distance and clinches up with Corrales, looking for a takedown. Boyd pushes Corrales against the cage but Corrales circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Corrales darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Corrales misses with a jab, cross combination.
Corrales really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boyd fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Boyd fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Corrales sprawls well initially but Boyd persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Boyd seems to be working for a kimura but Corrales defends the submission attempt.

Boyd is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Boyd wants to pass the guard but Corrales is defending well.
Boyd looks gassed!
Boyd stops Corrales from getting back to his feet.

Boyd looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Boyd wants to work for an arm triangle but Corrales is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Corrales pushes Boyd off looking to stand but Boyd dives back in and keeps control.

Boyd is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boyd throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Boyd looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Corrales with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Boyd is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Corrales is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
