Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Mix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Hill will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Mix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Hill!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a head kick that misses.

Hill has closed the distance and engaged Mix in a clinch.
Mix content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Hill can't break the clinch.
Mix jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hill walks away with a smile on his face. Mix gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mix looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hill scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hill looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mix gets full guard.
Mix thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Mix manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hill manages to get himself to full guard.
Mix trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hill throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Mix is fighting to break Hill's control of his arms but Hill is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mix might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mix. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hill throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Hill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hill wants to take a breather but Mix is having none of it.
Hill not doing much here.
Mix could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mix does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mix gets back to full guard.
Mix looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hill is one step ahead there.
Hill wants to get up but he can't break Mix's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hill is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Hill was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hill darts in and clinches Mix up against the cage.

Mix lands a right hand.

Hill pulls guard.
Hill looking to control but Mix passes into half guard.
Mix prevents Hill from improving his position.

Mix decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Hill instigates a clinch.
Mix is looking for a takedown.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mix takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Mix has Hill pressed against the cage, preventing Hill from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Hill ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hill no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mix shoots in but no luck this time.
Hill swats away the attempt to clinch by Mix.
Hill throws a sloppy head kick and Mix moves out of range easily.

Hill has Mix pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hill pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mix tumbling to the mat - Hill dives into Mix's guard.

Hill stays in close to Mix's body and controls the position.

Mix keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully.
Hill distracts Mix with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mix wants to sweep here but Hill controlling him for the moment.

Hill tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mix was well out of range. Poor timing from Hill.
Daniel Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hill darts in and clinches Mix up against the cage.

Hill has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mix is trying to keep an underhook but Hill manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Mix is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hill pulls his head out easily.
Mix makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mix.
Mix is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hill wants to control but Mix is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mix missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Hill is staying active underneath Mix, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mix is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hill doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mix.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mix is keen to just control but Hill is a slippery customer.

Hill actively working from the bottom here.

Hill has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Mix escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Mix!

Mix working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hill tries to buck Mix off but Mix is having none of it.
Mix wants to control but Hill is keeping him busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mix sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hill is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hill tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mix presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Hill closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hill lands in his opponent's guard.
Mix is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hill tries to kick Mix off in order to stand up. Mix Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Hill tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mix wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mix decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Mix shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hill but Hill pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dave Mix is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hill pushes Mix up against the cage in a clinch.

Hill jumps into guard, dragging Mix to the mat.

Mix is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Daniel Hill has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mix works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Mix prevents Hill from improving his position.

Hill is staying active underneath Mix, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mix is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hill has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mix is looking to take a break and control but Hill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dave Mix has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hill might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mix kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Daniel Hill.
Hill throws a sloppy head kick
and Mix counters with a left to the body.
Mix swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mix gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mix keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully.

Daniel Hill comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
