The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klinsmann uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Roy.
Roy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Klinsmann defends it nicely.
A jab from Roy misses.
Klinsmann scores with a decent looking hook.
A telegraphed right hand from Klinsmann misses the target.
Klinsmann clobbers Roy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Klinsmann can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Roy is looking for the choke from the back position but Klinsmann is controlling his hands well.

I really don't envy Klinsmann right now.
Klinsmann breaks Roy's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Klinsmann drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Klinsmann jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Roy is looking to sinch up a triangle. Klinsmann throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Roy's body to avoid the submission. Roy has instead reached around Klinsmann's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Roy arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
