PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gleydson Leandro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leandro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ortiz counters with a left and a right that stings Leandro.
Ortiz misses with a two punch combination.
Leandro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ortiz circles away.
Leandro throws a sloppy head kick and Ortiz moves out of range easily.
A lazy left from Ortiz finds it's target.
Henry Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Leandro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ortiz, pushing him back against the cage.
Ortiz has a couple of punches blocked by Leandro.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leandro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ortiz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Leandro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ortiz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Leandro sprawls well initially but Ortiz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ortiz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leandro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ortiz.
