The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coimbra looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Coimbra throws a chopping leg kick but Cruz manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Coimbra throws a right and a left that Cruz avoids nicely.
Coimbra fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Coimbra lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cruz backs up against the cage.

Cruz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cruz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cruz just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Cruz has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Coimbra.

Cruz is working for a rear naked choke. Coimbra is not defending it well and Cruz has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Coimbra refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Coimbra's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
