The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wazowski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Treta as he jumps to the side.

Wazowski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Treta on his heels. He'll look to pass Treta's guard now, I'm sure.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Treta can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Treta tries to bum rush Wazowski with a series of wild strikes but Wazowski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Treta shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wazowski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Wazowski is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Wazowski closes the distance and clinches up with Treta, looking for a takedown. Wazowski pushes Treta against the cage but Treta circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
