Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Kenshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Earp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyoto Kenshin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Earp!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Earp shoots in and bounces Kenshin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kenshin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Earp is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kenshin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Earp's back instead.
Earp manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kenshin's guard. Nice work there by Earp.
Kenshin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Earp wants to control from the top but Kenshin keeps moving.
Kenshin keeping full guard, as Earp tries to pass.

Kenshin is looking for a triangle but Earp pushes his legs off easily.
Earp scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Kenshin wants to sweep here but Earp controlling him for the moment.
Earp trying to control the position from guard on top but Kenshin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Earp cracks Kenshin with a solid left hand.

Kenshin working for a triangle but Earp defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Earp keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kenshin's head.
Earp trying to control the position from guard on top but Kenshin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Earp looking to pass the guard.
Earp chips away with some ground and pound.
Kenshin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kenshin keeping full guard, as Earp tries to pass.
Kenshin looking for a sweep. Not yet Kenshin, not yet.
Kenshin has momentary wrist control but Earp slips an elbow through the middle.
Earp distracts Kenshin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Earp stopping the sweep attempt from Kenshin.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Earp pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kenshin is keeping the position for now.
Earp wants to control from the top but Kenshin keeps moving.
Earp postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Earp is in close to Kenshin's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Earp trying to control but Kenshin is working from the bottom.
Earp makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Earp postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Earp working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Kenshin looking for a sweep. Not yet Kenshin, not yet.
Earp trying to control but Kenshin is working from the bottom.
Kenshin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kenshin dominating with strikes here.
Kenshin with shots to the head and body - Earp looks very uncomfortable down there.
BOOM! Kenshin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kenshin lands a heavy elbow.

Kenshin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Earp flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kenshin trying to control but Earp is having none of it.
Kenshin forces the positional change into back control.
Earp manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kenshin's guard. Nice work there by Earp.
Kenshin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Earp is refusing to be controlled, as Kenshin sits in half guard.
Kenshin passes the guard and advances to mount!

Kenshin quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Kenshin but it's paid off an Earp is forced to tap! Nice work by Kenshin.
