The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloyed scores with a jab to the jaw.
Slash throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lloyed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lloyed takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sloppy strikes from Lloyed. Those never looked like landing.

Lloyed gets tackled into the cage by Slash. Slash maintains the clinch.
Lloyed wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lloyed tries to land a knee to the head but Slash blocks with his arms.
Lloyed lands a damaging elbow.

Slash pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Slash tries to clinch there but Lloyed circles away.
Lloyed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lloyed lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Lloyed throws a series of strikes that have Slash backpedaling.
Lloyed does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Slash takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Slash tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lloyed paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Slash moves in looking to clinch but Lloyed pushes him off.
Slash slips a jab and a cross from Lloyed.

Lloyed shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lloyed throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Slash moves in looking to clinch but Lloyed pushes him off.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Slash avoids the body shot from Lloyed.
Slash throws a right and a left that Lloyed avoids nicely.
Slash takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Lloyed throws a body punch but Slash moves out of range.

Slash tries to close the distance and clinch but Lloyed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lloyed throws a sloppy head kick and Slash moves out of range easily.

Lloyed throws a hook but Slash avoids it easily.

Slash throws a nice looking combination but Lloyed bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lloyed misses with a few strikes there.

Lloyed swats away the attempt to clinch by Slash.
Lloyed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Slash clinches with his opponent.
Slash on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Lloyed pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Slash blocks an uppercut.
Slash throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lloyed blocks it with crossed arms.
Slash takes a shot to the head.

Lloyed has clasped his hands together around Slash's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Slash regains half guard.
Slash keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Slash working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lloyed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lloyed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lloyed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slash swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Slash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lloyed is aware though and is defending well.
Lloyed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Slash works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Slash has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lloyed doesn't defend quickly enough and Slash has managed to lock this one up! Can Lloyed escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Slash on a fantastic submission victory.
