Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Holka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Marshall!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holka takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Marshall clinches up with Holka and pushes him back against the cage.
Holka scores with a shot to the side of Marshall's head.
Holka is trying to push Marshall away but Marshall has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Marshall throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Holkas head.
Holka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Marshall smiles and moves away.
Nice sprawl there from Marshall as Holka shoots in.
Holka shoots for a takedown but Marshall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Holka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Holka or perhaps it was just good defense by Marshall which made him look bad.
Holka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Marshall moves into the clinch successfully.

Holka is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Marshall is defending well for now.

Marshall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Holka misses with a body kick.

Marshall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Holka, pushing him back against the cage.
Holka wants to take the fight to the mat but Marshall manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Holka dodges an elbow strike from Marshall.

Marshall keeping moving, preventing Holka from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Holka wants to control from the top but Marshall keeps moving.

Marshall doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Jeremy Holka wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Holka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Holka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marshall moves away.

Holka gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marshall wants to control from the top but Holka keeps moving.
Holka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Marshall passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Holka is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Marshall is controlling him well.

Holka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Marshall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Marshall has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holka is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Holka trying desperately to get to his feet.
Marshall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marshall looking to control but Holka is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marshall connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Holka tries to hold on but Marshall pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marshall lands a nice shot to the head.
Marshall wants to control the pace but Holka is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Holka gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Marshall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Holka has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marshall is working away from the top position though.
Marshall moves nicely into side control.

Marshall tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Marshall goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Holka rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Marshall's guard! Nice work there by Holka!

Holka working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Marshall's head.
Holka won't allow Marshall to sweep him here.
Holka loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Marshall wants to stand up but Holka is controlling him.

Holka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jeremy Holka.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Marshall is stalling here. Holka is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Marshall seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Holka has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Holka wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marshall has him pressed against the cage.
Marshall lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Holka stands up over Marshall, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Holka looking to sit in guard and control but Marshall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marshall wants to stand but Holka is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jon Marshall will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Marshall feints and as Holka raises his hands in defense, Marshall changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

A frustrated look appears on Holka's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Marshall has Holka pressed against the cage, preventing Holka from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Marshall has Holka pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Marshall pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Holka tumbling to the mat - Marshall dives into Holka's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Holka tries to clinch but Marshall moves out of range.

Well Marshall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
