Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Sugarol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sugarol lands a jab.
Hansen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hansen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sugarol clobbers Hansen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hansen moves away from the strike by Sugarol.
Hansen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sugarol.
Sugarol throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hansen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sugarol as he jumps to the side.
Sugarol throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hansen lands a head kick. Sugarol smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Sugarol misses with a hook. Hansen ducked under it nicely.

Hansen rushes Sugarol and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sugarol punishes Hansen's body with a nice straight punch.
Hansen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sugarol swivels and escapes.
Hansen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sugarol's calf.

Sugarol tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hansen was well out of range. Poor timing from Sugarol.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hansen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sugarol thuds his right hand into Hansen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sugarol fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hansen on the side of the head.

Sugarol buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hansen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hansen lands a leg kick that knocks Sugarol off balance momentarily.
Sugarol misses with a hook. Hansen ducked under it nicely.
Hansen shoots in looking for a takedown. Sugarol tries to sprawl out of it but Hansen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sugarol manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sammy Sugarol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hansen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sugarol.

Hansen is rocked!

It looks like Ken Hansen has been cut.
Hansen shoots for a double leg takedown but Sugarol sprawls well. He's pushed Hansen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hansen is still on wobbly legs! Can Sugarol finish him?
Hansen misses with a shot to the body
and Sugarol counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Hansen badly! Sugarol follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Hansen out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Sugarol finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sammy Sugarol!
Sammy Sugarol really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Reaper Combatwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
