The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King scores with a nice strike.
A big right from King misses.

King shoots in and bounces Roll off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Roll can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as King controls the pace.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Roll is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roll is adopting a defensive guard.

Lawrence King has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
King shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Roll eats them both and turns towards King to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

King fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Roll sprawls well initially but King persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Roll tries to get to full guard but King has control of the leg.
Roll is pressing down on King's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Roll avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Roll is trying to control the position from the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
