Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mentat Dorens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Washington!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorens takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Washington.

Dorens manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Washington on his heels. He'll look to pass Washington's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Dorens missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Dorens drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dorens jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Washington isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dorens stacks Washington on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dorens!

Dorens connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Washington some visible discomfort.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Washington really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dorens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dorens throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Washington tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dorens is in Washington's guard.

Washington is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Washington manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dorens manages to get himself to full guard.

Dorens is nestled in close to Washington, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dorens seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dorens frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mentat Dorens will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Dorens just misses with a elbow thrown towards Washington's brow.
Washington tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Dorens is trying to trip Washington. He has hold of a leg but Washington is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dorens persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dorens, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
