Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Coming Home blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Price's choice of entrance music: Destroy Everything - Hatebreed. Jon Jones has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trevor Price!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a body shot.
Price tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Price misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Price tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Price tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Price throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Price plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Price rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
Price lands an elbow that stopped Jones in his tracks for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.
Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Price prevents it.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Price counters with a big head kick but Jones shrugs it off.
Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Price on the side of the head.
Price takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Price which made him look bad.
Price pushes Jones away with a front kick.

Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Price avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Price gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jones is trying to drag Price to the mat but Price just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Price is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Price lands an elbow inside.
Price pushes Jones back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jones takes an elbow to the forehead.
Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Price fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Price gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Price is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Price is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.
Price is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones passes Price's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Price regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jones throws a hook to the side of Price's head but Price sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Price back into the cage.
Jones has Price pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Price manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jones tries for a takedown but Price manages to get underhooks.
Price gets underhooks to prevent Jones's takedown attempt.

Price is pressed up against the cage. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Price down to the mat. Price avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Price fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Price fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Trevor Price bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
