Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Teichmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Teichmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Witt!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teichmann doesn't manage to clinch there - Witt circles away.
Teichmann throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Witt's waist but Witt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Teichmann off to one side.
Teichmann connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Witt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Teichmann to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Witt wants to stand and escape but Teichmann is having none of it.
Teichmann stands and throws Witt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Teichmann trying to control the action but Witt is working from the bottom.

Teichmann tries for a kimura but Witt is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Witt looks gassed!

Witt prevents Teichmann from moving into mount.
Teichmann remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Teichmann seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Witt for as long as he can get away with.
Teichmann advances nicely into full mount.

Teichmann stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Teichmann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Witt moves away.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Teichmann.
Witt is looking for a takedown.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight stays on the outside here - Witt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Teichmann shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Teichmann showed some decent athleticism there.
Teichmann seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Teichmann is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Teichmann tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Witt defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Teichmann.

Teichmann scores with a crisp jab that stopped Witt in his tracks.

Witt is rocked!

Teichmann closes the distance looking for a takedown. Witt stuffs it but Teichmann still has hold of him. Teichmann picks Witt up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Teichmann slams Witt to the floor and that's really hurt Witt - he doesn't know where he is! Teichmann throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
