King comes to the cage accompanied by Police On My Back. Dave Ridgeon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Obi Wan King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Ridgeon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails to land with a series of punches.
King misses with a series of wild punches.

King has taken the fight to the clinch.
King is looking to break free of the clinch but Ridgeon has double underhooks.
King scores with a shot to the side of Ridgeon's head.
King wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
King keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ridgeon's efforts to push away.
Ridgeon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. King fights it off and pushes away nicely.
King lands with a shot to the body.

King misses with a few strikes there.
Ridgeon shoots in but no luck this time.
King throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ridgeon.
Obi Wan King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ridgeon is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.
King lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by King.

King tries to break the clinch but Ridgeon is controlling the position.

King darts in and clinches Ridgeon up against the cage.

King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

King closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ridgeon gets back to full guard.
King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ridgeon throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! King escapes and throws Ridgeon's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Ridgeon tries to buck King off but King is having none of it.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ridgeon is trying to work for a sweep but King has mounted him!
Ridgeon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Ridgeon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

King decides to stand up.

King closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ridgeon is trying to force a seperation but King has the dominant position.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ridgeon dodges the punch combination from King.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Ridgeon.
King throws a right hand that Ridgeon ducks under and follows up with a left that Ridgeon also avoids with ease.
Ridgeon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but King was well out of range. Poor timing from Ridgeon.
King keeps the fight on the outside.
King looks to land a combination. Ridgeon sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
King fails to land with a series of punches.
King throws a series of punches but Ridgeon moves out of range.
King misses with the combination.
Ridgeon drops his hands momentarily and King takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ridgeon.
King moves in looking to clinch but Ridgeon pushes him off.
Ridgeon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ridgeon slips a jab and a cross from King.
A punch combination from King misses.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A combination from King does no damage.
Ridgeon tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ridgeon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Obi Wan King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Ridgeon.
King tries to clinch up but Ridgeon circles away and keeps his distance.
Ridgeon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King's waist but King gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ridgeon off to one side.

King closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ridgeon did well to prevent King getting side control.
Ridgeon wants to improve his position but King is controlling well.
King tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
King is taking a breather. Ridgeon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

King postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Ridgeon to stand up.

King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
King swats away the attempt to clinch by Ridgeon.
King misses with the combination.
King lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ridgeon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
King goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ridgeon circles away quickly and effectively.
King is looking to clinch.

Ridgeon rushes King and presses him up against the cage.

King lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ridgeon.
Ridgeon tries to pull guard but King won't allow it.
King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Ridgeon manages to break the clinch.
King's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ridgeon under the eye.
King fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ridgeon misses with a leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Ridgeon swings away with a leg kick that misses.

King drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

King decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ridgeon, up you get!

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ridgeon is desperately trying to improve his position but King has a good base and remains in mount.

Ridgeon is squirming around, avoiding King's attempts to control the action.

King prevents Ridgeon from getting the reversal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ridgeon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
King looking to control but Ridgeon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ridgeon can't escape the position.
King controlling the pace for now.

Ridgeon is squirming around, avoiding King's attempts to control the action.

Ridgeon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dave Ridgeon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well King has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
