The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viking lands a big uppercut and Sanford crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sanford looks OK. Viking waves Sanford back to his feet!
It looks like Fred Sanford has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sanford. Viking shrugs it off though.
Viking takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Viking throws a jab when Sanford was well out of range.
Sanford connects with a leg kick. Viking looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Sanford counters with a slapping leg kick.
Sanford bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Viking's head backwards.
Viking sends Sanford crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Viking is motioning to the referee to let Sanford up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Sanford is rocked!
Sanford looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Oh Sanford is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanford connects with a body shot that sends Viking's belly button to the back.
Sanford bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Viking looks gassed!
Viking closes the distance but Sanford moves to the side
and Sanford moves into the clinch.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sanford obliges.

No joy there for Viking, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanford turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sanford moves into the clinch.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sanford, as that shot connected.
Viking takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sanford, right into the meat.
Sanford thumps Viking with a low kick.

Sanford jerks Viking's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Viking drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Sanford goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Sanford because Viking was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Fred Sanford!
A relieved looking Fred Sanford thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
