PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shiah Coore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sui Hing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sui Hing was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sui Hing!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coore tries to clinch up but Hing circles away and keeps his distance.

Coore tries to sprawl but Hing drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Coore is trying to stand up here but Hing is controlling him well.
Hing seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Coore kicks Hing off and gets back to his feet.

Hing rushes Coore and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Coore is trying to break the clinch but Hing is controlling him.
Coore tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Coore wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hing has him pressed against the cage.

Coore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hing has his foot on Coore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coore works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Shiah Coore just wasn't active enough.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hing won't allow Coore to get back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hing is trying hard to land a takedown here. Coore sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sui Hing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hing gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Hing throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shiah Coore has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Shiah Coore is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Coore feints a jab promting Hing to slip. Coore then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hing slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Coore fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hing manages to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hing shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Coore pinned against the cage. Coore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sui Hing is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Coore throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hing.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Sui Hing.
I've got Hing winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
