The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manoel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pat takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pat throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Manoel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Manoel looks to land a left hand but Pat moved out of range nicely.
Pat throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Manoel scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pat doesn't seem bothered though.
Manoel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pat's hands.
Pat throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manoel lands a big head kick that sends Pat tumbling to the mat! Manoel takes a step backwards and waves Pat back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Pat throws a wild body kick that Manoel sees coming a mile off.

Pat wants to slow Manoel down by chopping away at his legs.
