A fine choice. Hacks is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Here Comes The PAIN. Bewter Hacks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hacks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.
Hacks throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Smith shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hacks napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Smith is looking to take a break and control but Hacks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
