Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Moral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirt McGirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Moral!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dirt McGirt!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moral scores with a nice body kick.

McGirt gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGirt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moral keeps working.
McGirt passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Moral!
Moral taking shots to the head.
McGirt connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McGirt fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moral working to try and regain half guard.

McGirt get's back to his feet.
Moral looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Moral fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McGirt avoids it really well and circles away.
Moral really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McGirt gets the takedown into side control.
McGirt working the ground and pound.
Moral wants to control but McGirt postures up.
McGirt happy to just control the position for now.

Moral manages to work his way to half guard, despite McGirt's best efforts.

Moral is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

McGirt is working for a submission of some sort.
Moral gets back to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Moral throws his legs up looking for a submission but McGirt uses it to pass to side control.

McGirt decides to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moral closes the distance but McGirt moves to the side

and McGirt counters by clinching up.
Moral manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

McGirt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McGirt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McGirt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Moral wants to control but McGirt is having none of it.
Moral is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McGirt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Moral is working to get back to half guard.
McGirt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Moral is looking to escape.

McGirt looking for a guillotine from mount but Moral is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moral is squirming around, avoiding McGirt's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Moral gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McGirt to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Moral is working an open guard so McGirt takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

McGirt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McGirt showed some decent athleticism there.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McGirt in particular looking to stall.

Moral makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

so McGirt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

McGirt stuffs the takedown attempt from Moral. Moral gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McGirt drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGirt closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moral did well to prevent McGirt getting side control.
Moral wants to improve his position but McGirt is controlling well.

Moral wants to control but McGirt is keeping busy and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dirt McGirt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



McGirt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moral sprawls well initially but McGirt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

McGirt stands up out of the half guard.
McGirt shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moral defends it nicely.
Moral wants to clinch up but McGirt keeps it at a distance.
Moral fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McGirt tries to clinch up.
McGirt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A head kick by McGirt misses

and Moral counters with a single leg into guard. McGirt didn't expect that.
McGirt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McGirt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Moral would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
McGirt can't keep his opponent in guard - Moral advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
McGirt is looking for a sweep. Moral is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Moral is keen to just control but McGirt is a slippery customer.
Moral stops McGirt from getting back to his feet.
Moral is taking a breather. McGirt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McGirt wants to get back to his feet.

Moral tries to stand but his hand is stuck under McGirt.
Moral is trying to control. McGirt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

We're going to have a standup here because Carl Moral wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Moral is looking to clinch.

McGirt dives in and scores a takedown into Moral's guard.

McGirt stands up from Moral's guard - McGirt perhaps looking for a knockout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Moral shoots in for a double leg but McGirt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moral tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McGirt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Moral misses with a takedown attempt - McGirt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Moral. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McGirt gets a clinch.
McGirt lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Moral is trying to pull guard but McGirt has him pressed against the cage.
McGirt prevents Moral from breaking the clinch.

McGirt has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Moral regains guard immediately.
McGirt passes Moral's left leg - he's now in half guard.
McGirt landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

McGirt stands up out of the half guard.
Moral avoids the head kick by McGirt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Moral looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moral drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McGirt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moral manages to get himself to full guard.
Moral seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Carl Moral has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dirt McGirt is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McGirt stays in close to Moral's body and controls the position.

Dirt McGirt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McGirt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
