Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenrick Nikil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morty Gaggle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikil comes to the cage accompanied by Wait and Bleed by Slipknot. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Gaggle slams his shin into Nikil's torso.
Gaggle throws a lazy head kick

and Nikil counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gaggle manages to get to full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gaggle tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Gaggle creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nikil sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Gaggle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nikil keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gaggle might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nikil kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gaggle throws a lazy right hand but Nikil sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nikil swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gaggle tries for a takedown but Nikil circles away easily

and Nikil counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Nikil distracts Gaggle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Nikil throws an elbow that misses. Gaggle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nikil's guard. Nice move by Gaggle!
Gaggle is pushing down on Nikil's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nikil is fighting to maintain full guard but Gaggle has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gaggle moves into full mount! Nikil won't be happy about that!

Nikil on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nikil tries to get out of the position.

Gaggle throws some wild stikes that Nikil manages to avoid easily.
Nikil has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Gaggle's lack of action.
Nikil is looking for a sweep. Gaggle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gaggle. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Gaggle is taking a breather. Nikil says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gaggle is trying to control the action in half guard but Nikil is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Morty Gaggle hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gaggle walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Gaggle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nikil manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nikil stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gaggle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nikil accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Morty Gaggle wasn't active enough on the ground.
Nikil throws an overhand right that lands on Gaggle's shoulder, as Gaggle tries to avoid the shot.
Gaggle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nikil tries to avoid it but Gaggle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nikil to the ground. Nikil escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gaggle drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nikil looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nikil looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nikil!
Gaggle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nikil off and has taken his back!

Nikil is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
