The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammarbekk fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hammarbekk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stanlay tries to land a leg kick but Hammarbekk saw it coming and moves away.
Stanlay fails in his attempt to clinch.

Stanlay tries to keep at a distance but Hammarbekk has taken the fight into the clinch.

Stanlay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stanlay looks to land a combination but Hammarbekk avoids it well.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Hammarbekk tries to lock up and control but Stanlay gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

It looks like Frank Hammarbekk has been cut.
Stanlay cracks Hammarbekk with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Stanlay won't let Hammarbekk get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stanlay cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hammarbekk is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
