Melton Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne - Drop The World ft. Eminem. Damien Melendez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melton Jr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Melendez.
Melendez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Melton Jr defends it nicely.
Melendez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Melton Jr pinned against the cage. Melton Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mike Melton Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Melendez.
Melton Jr misses with a hook to the body

and Melendez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Melton Jr won't be happy with that.

Melendez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Melendez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Melendez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Melendez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Melton Jr pinned against the cage. Melton Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Melendez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Melendez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Melendez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Melendez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Melton Jr works over Melendez's head and body with a nice combination.

That has opened up Damien Melendez's cut even more.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Melton Jr swings for the body but Melendez moves out of range.
Melton Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Melendez was well out of range. Poor timing from Melton Jr.

Melton Jr lands a left and a right that send Melendez crashing to the mat, dazed. Melton Jr thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Melendez is rocked!
Melton Jr lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Melendez out cold! Melendez is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
