The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

jenkins rushes Andy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

jenkins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. jenkins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Andy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

jenkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
jenkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Andy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Andy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says jenkins as he avoids it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Andy wants to sweep but no luck.

Andy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. jenkins is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Andy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take jenkins's back instead.
