Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Dignam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ford comes into the arena with For What It's Worth blaring out of the sound system. Sean Dignam is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford shoots and misses
and Dignam counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Dignam thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ford throws Dignam to one side and escapes!
Ford closes the distance but Dignam moves to the side
and Dignam counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dignam.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ford wants to stand but Dignam is controlling the position.
Dignam is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ford is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ford has escaped and now he's on top!

Dignam pushes Ford off and scrambles back to his feet.
Ford shoots in looking for a takedown. Dignam tries to sprawl out of it but Ford keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dignam manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ford moves to clinch but Dignam breaks away
and Dignam counters by moving into the clinch.
Dignam tries to work over Ford's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Dignam.
Ford is trying to pull guard but Dignam has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Ford. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dignam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ford fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Dignam lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dignam lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ford backwards.
Ford tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dignam just stands there and leans against the cage.

Dignam tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Eric Ford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Ford takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ford ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dignam moves away.

Dignam closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ford did well to prevent Dignam getting side control.
Dignam is pressing down on Ford's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ford is holding on for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dignam bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ford's head.

and Dignam holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Ford is wriggling around but Dignam manages to pass to half guard.

Dignam breaks from Ford's wrist control and lands an elbow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ford is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dignam is landing with some decent strikes but Ford is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Dignam pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Dignam looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Dignam connects with a bit shot that sees Ford covering up! More strikes from Dignam and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Dignam is our winner by TKO!
