Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koyomuki Yashigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mikel Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Koyomuki Yashigawa!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Yashigawa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yashigawa fails with the takedown.
Yashigawa lands a nice shot to the body.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yashigawa as he jumps to the side.

Yashigawa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Yashigawa tries for a takedown but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mikel Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koyomuki Yashigawa.
Anderson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Yashigawa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Anderson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yashigawa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Anderson wants to control the pace but Yashigawa is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Anderson is really struggling to control Yashigawa but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Anderson has control of Yashigawa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Yashigawa regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Yashigawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yashigawa as he avoids it easily.

Yashigawa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yashigawa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat.

Yashigawa shoots in looking for a takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl out of it but Yashigawa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Yashigawa feints and as Anderson raises his hands in defense, Yashigawa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Yashigawa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Koyomuki Yashigawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yashigawa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yashigawa wants it to stay on the feet.
Anderson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Yashigawa drops back, looking for a kneebar! Anderson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Anderson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Anderson!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Koyomuki Yashigawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Yashigawa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
