Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnson McDiggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Baumann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDiggler kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eye of the Tiger. David Baumann has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDiggler doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Baumann clobbers McDiggler with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

McDiggler drives through with a takedown into guard.
McDiggler won't allow Baumann to sweep him here.
McDiggler tries to free his leg and advance position but Baumann is retaining full guard.
McDiggler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

McDiggler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
McDiggler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McDiggler trying to control the position from guard on top but Baumann is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McDiggler scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McDiggler postures up and lands a big shot to Baumann's brow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McDiggler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McDiggler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McDiggler decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Baumann, up you get!

That's one minute gone in the round.
McDiggler dives in and grabs Baumann's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baumann pushes down on McDiggler's head and hops out.

Baumann gets the takedown into side control.
McDiggler sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
McDiggler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
McDiggler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baumann wants to control from the top but McDiggler keeps moving.
McDiggler lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Baumann!
Baumann is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
McDiggler trying to control but Baumann is having none of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McDiggler looking to secure an arm triangle but Baumann defends it well.
Baumann tries to hold on but McDiggler postures up.

McDiggler is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Baumann is surviving well by controlling McDiggler's body position as best he can.

McDiggler is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! McDiggler extends the arm and Baumann is forced to tap!
