Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harold Sklu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Cucumber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sklu's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lay Me Down. Sklu has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Harold Sklu looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cucumber has a takedown stuffed.
Sklu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Cucumber looks for a takedown but Sklu sprawls well.
Cucumber shoots in for a double leg but Sklu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Harold Sklu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Cucumber.
Sklu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck for Cucumber with that takedown attempt.

Cucumber scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Cucumber tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sklu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cucumber.
Cucumber shoots in looking for a takedown. Sklu tries to sprawl out of it but Cucumber keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sklu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cucumber is defended easily by Sklu.

Cucumber feints and as Sklu raises his hands in defense, Cucumber changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Cucumber thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cucumber wants to control from the top but Sklu keeps moving.
Sklu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cucumber is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sklu could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Sklu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Cucumber forces his way into half guard.
Cucumber has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cucumber is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sklu is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
