Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosmo Starstryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starstryder goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Jones forces Starstryder back against the cage and clinches.

Jones has clasped his hands together around Starstryder's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Starstryder can't do much from the bottom here.

Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Starstryder to his feet.
Starstryder gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Jones counters with a leg kick.
Jones blocks a head kick by Starstryder.
Starstryder tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Starstryder.
Starstryder lands with a slapping head kick.
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Starstryder is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Starstryder wants to get back to full guard.

Jones postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Starstryder to stand up.

Jones gets a takedown into half guard.

Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Starstryder's head.

Jones takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jones is looking for a kimura but Starstryder is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.
Jones wants to control but Starstryder is keeping him busy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Starstryder to regain full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Starstryder is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Starstryder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jones with a flurry of punches that miss.

Jones stands up and waves to Starstryder to follow him.

Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Starstryder on his heels. He'll look to pass Starstryder's guard now, I'm sure.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Starstryder escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Starstryder isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jones stacks Starstryder on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jones!

Jones in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Starstryder tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jones working the ground and pound.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jones wants to control but Starstryder is keeping him busy.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jon Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jones lands a nice shot to the head.
Starstryder takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jones's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
