Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steel Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusty Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Steel Winner has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steel Winner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dusty Rhodes!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes avoids a kick to the body.

Rhodes gets a double leg takedown into Winner's guard.
Rhodes looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Winner wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dusty Rhodes.
Rhodes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Winner as he jumps to the side.
Winner throws a push kick but Rhodes slaps the foot to one side.
Rhodes throws a lazy right hand but Winner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Winner ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rhodes moves out of range as Winner throws a body kick.
Winner lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rhodes takes a step back to recover.
Rhodes looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Winner throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Horrible takedown by Rhodes or perhaps it was just good defense by Winner which made him look bad.
Winner just misses with a punch to the body.
Steel Winner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Winner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Winner. Rhodes shrugs it off though.

Winner throws a wild body kick that Rhodes sees coming a mile off.

It looks like Dusty Rhodes has been cut.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Winner.
Winner goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Winner ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A shot to the liver by Winner. Beautiful body shot.
Winner thows a body kick. Rhodes tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Rhodes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Winner takes a swing at Rhodes's ribcage but misses.
Winner feints and then cracks Rhodes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rhodes down.
Winner looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rhodes takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Winner thuds a left hand into Rhodes's body.
Winner is looking to wear down Rhodes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Winner lands with a kick to the temple. Rhodes shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Winner.

Winner throws a head kick but Rhodes moves out of range.
Rhodes shoots in for a double leg but Winner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Steel Winner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusty Rhodes.

Winner looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Winner swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Rhodes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Winner is trying to defend but Rhodes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rhodes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Rhodes passes the guard and advances to mount!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steel Winner dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Winner throws a sloppy head kick and Rhodes moves out of range easily.

Rhodes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Winner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Winner tries to get out of the position.
Well, if Rhodes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Rhodes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
