Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grayson Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Pein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Pein!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pein shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pierce as he jumps to the side.

Pierce clinches with his opponent.

Pein has hold of one of Pierce's legs. Pierce is fighting the takedown attempt but Pein gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pierce wants to sweep but no luck.
Pierce on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pierce tries to get out of the position.
Pierce is pulling down on Pein's head. It's preventing any offense from Pein, at least for the moment.
Pein postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pein throwing strikes but missing.
Pein with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Pein throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pierce works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pein throws a big right hand that misses.

Pein loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Pierce doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Pierce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pein on the ground.
Pierce is breathing heavily.

Pierce working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pein doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pein manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pein distracts Pierce with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Pein keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pierce's head.

It looks like Grayson Pierce has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pein is in close to Pierce's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Pein landing with the ground and pound.

Pein is working Pierce over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Pein lands a couple of elbows.
Pein connects with a couple of short punches.
Pein slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Pierce is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Pierce is rocked!

Grayson Pierce's cut is getting worse.
Pein lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pierce down.
Oh Pierce is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pein working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Jeez, Grayson Pierce's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
