Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Golden Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garland Oars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Garland Oars was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oars scores with a shot to the body.
Boy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oars.
Boy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Oars to counter with a crisp jab.
Oars tries to close the distance and clinch but Boy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Boy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Oars throws a good cross that connects.

Oars rushes Boy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Boy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Oars is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Golden Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Oars is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Boy has latched onto it... Big trouble! Boy pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Oars is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Boy!
